Chaga Extract is made from the wild harvested Fruiting body of the chaga mushrooms. Chaga mushrooms(Inonotus obliquus) belongs to the subphylum Basidiomycota, the class of layer fungi, the order of non-brown fungi, the family Polyporaceae, and the genus of Pseudomonas. It is a medicinal fungus that grows on birch trees, and its fruiting bodies are in the form of black lumps resembling carbon. Inonotus obliquus is mainly distributed in northern Russia, northern Europe, Heilongjiang, China, and Hokkaido, Japan, and breeds in the northern latitude of 40°~50° in the northern hemisphere.
The chemical constituents of Chaga Extract Inonotus obliquus are polysaccharides, Inonotus obliquus, Inonotus obliquus alcohol, various oxidized triterpenoids, Trametic acid, various lanosterol-type triterpenoids, folic acid derivatives, aromatic Vanillic acid, syringic acid and gamma hydroxybenzoic acid, etc.
